Not blind opposition to progress, but opposition to blind progress.”   – John Muir

We are in the midst of a global environmental crisis brought upon us by the reckless activities of human beings. Threatened by pollution, climate change, the rapid depletion of resources and extinction of species, we are called upon to take swift and appropriate action to protect our Mother Earth.

The building of eco communities has the capacity to surmount many of our environmental, social and economic challenges, giving form to a vital shift in global consciousness. It provides a way for us to unite in returning to a simpler way of living independent from fossil fuels, mass media and failing government policies while developing resilient food systems, energy systems that support the environment, and advances in technological design using biomimicry.

It is time to join forces in order to vision, create and manifest sustainable environments that reflect the best of humanity. Living in peaceful health, harmony and equality – while engaged in the thoughtful, positive, profitable productivity that will serve these ideals – we are free to express our artistic and playful natures.

As individuals and nations, we must have the foresight to take a leadership role in restoring our Earth, and developing a human culture that will not only weather the transition, but thrive.

Return our beloved Earth to the Paradise it once was, the Gardens of Eden.

A healthy social life is found only when in the mirror of each soul the whole community finds its reflection, and when in the whole community the virtue of each one is living.”- Rudolf Steiner
